Doctor

  • Dr. Sharon D White


    Dr. White is a native Georgian. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Ga. in 1980, and went on to the College of Veterinary Medicine at UGA, graduating in 1984. From there, she moved to Louisville, KY and practiced for 15 months before returning to Georgia where she practiced in Marietta for eight years prior to opening her own hospital in Woodstock, Ga in June, 1993. Dr. White has served on the board of the Cherokee County Humane Society, and is currently a member of the AVMA, GVMA and other local veterinary societies.

  • Dr. Karen Clark


    Dr. Karen Clark graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1980 from Columbus University in Columbus, Ga. She then attended the University of Ga. and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. From there, Dr. Clark served as the head of the Northern Branch of Veterinary Services at Fort Ord, Ca. until 1988. After having children and moving back to Georgia, she began practicing again with Dr. White in 1994. Dr. Clark is a member of AVMA, GVMA.

  • Paul Evans , DVM


    Dr. Evans graduated from UGA in May, 2005. He came to work with us in May, 2006. Dr. Evans is married, and has 3 dogs and 3 cats. His special interest in the veterinary field is opthamology. Outside of our busy clinic, he enjoys football (the Dogs, of course), and golfing. Our staff and our clients appreciate his easy-going manner, and we're very glad to have him with us.

Technician

  • Debbie Clotfelter , RVT


    Debbie has been with us since August 2004. She came to us with 6 years of experience in the veterinary field, and an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Gwinnett Technical College. Debbie is not only a Registered Veterinary Technician, but also works with a licensed wildlife rehabilitor to help rehabilitate birds and mammals, and is studying to get her own rehabilitation license. Outside of work, she enjoys birdwatching, gardening and various artsy-craftsy things. Debbie has 2 dogs, D'Artagnan and Kolena.

  • Merrill Rosenau , Associates Degree in Veterinary Technician


    Merrill graduated in 1997 from Colorado Mountain College and came to work with us as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2003. Very skilled and competent, Merrill brought many new and fresh ideas to our practice. We're very lucky to have her talents as a technician. When Merrill isn't working, she enjoys beading and many other crafts.

  • Laura Leaders


    Laura has been with us since we opened in 1993. She worked for many years prior to that with Dr. White. She has been working in veterinary medicine for over 25 years. In 2006, Laura took a test to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

  • Theresa Martin-Bailey , Registered Veterinary Technician


    Theresa came to work with us in October, 2005. She has been in the veterinary field since 1985, and became an RVT in 2004. Theresa raises Shelties, and uses them in pet therapy with Happy Tails. She has been married over 24 years, and has one daughter. She has 7 Shelties, 4 cats, 2 turtles, a Guinea pig and a horse.

Reception

  • Debbie Vermillion




    Debbie came to work with us in 2001 as a customer service coordinator. Debbie brings a quiet, soft-spoken quality to our front staff, and we're very happy to have her with us. In 2006, Debbie was promoted to the CSC Supervisor and is doing a wonderful job.

  • Shannon Smith


    Shannon joined the Crossroads family in 1995 as a customer service coordinator. She has been with us through many changes and growth spurts, and we plan to keep her as long as she'll have us. Shannon compassionately handles any collection issues that we might run into. Shannon is married to Lyle, and has three children, and a fiesty little Jack Russel named Katie Pearl.

  • Chris Hutcherson


    Chris came to work with us in February 2004 with 13 years experience in the veterinary field. Married to James with two daughters (18 and 21 years old), and seven pets. She has two Chihuahuas, Pepe' and Posha; One Doxy named Molly; one JR mix named Missy; one cat named Lilly, and two Amazon parrots, Henry and Bart. Chris has lived here for 10 years, but plans to move to Columbia, TN when her husband retires so that she can have a farm with all of the animals she's ever wanted, and give rescues a home.

  • Beth Franklin


    Beth came to work with us in 2006, and has nearly 13 years experience in the veterinary field. Outside of being a great client service coordinator, beth also enjoys oil/acrylic painting, as well as many outdoor activities. She is the mother of four cats.

  • Jill O'Dell


    Jill came to work with Crossroads in 2005, but has worked in the veterinary field since 2000, when she left the corporate world to work with something she really enjoys....ANIMALS!
     
    Born and raised in Cherokee County, Jill has 2 children and 9 animals, including 3 large dogs, 3 long haired cats, 2 gecko's and 1 rabbit. Not only is Jill a very knowledgeable client service coordinator, she also handles all of the drug and food ordering for the hospital. We're very lucky to have Jill with us.

Grooming

  • Katie Anderson


    Katie has been grooming here since 2005. She apprenticed locally for about 2 years, and has been grooming for nearly 6 years. She is patient, and does a great job for all of our clients. She specializes in Bichon's, which are her personal favorite. She is married and has two Pit Bull dogs, and she is expecting a child in late 2007. It's hard to find and keep a good groomer, and we're extremely lucky to have someone so dedicated.

  • Ashley Early


    Ashley came to us in 2005 and worked for over a year as a kennel assistant. Just a few months ago she moved into the grooming department as a bather and grooming assistant. As she works with Katie, she is being carefully trained to handle some of the grooming duties. We know that Katie appreciates the help, and we know our client's appreciate the increased production.

Assistants

  • Colleen Hilty


    Colleen began her career with us as a kennel assistant, and has been working as an assistant since 2006. She is taking an online course in veterinary technology, and hopes to take the test for her RVT in 2007. Colleen brings a strong energy to our practice, and always has a smile for our clients and their kids. We are heartily supporting her studies.
